South Africa celebrates Women’s Day in the month of August.  The 9th of August focuses attention on issues that  women face in South Africa and commemorates their role in numerous and diverse aspects of South African society.
We acknowledge with much appreciation the enormous contribution which many women have made to Little Bosch, the Prep School & the High School throughout our 123 year history which started with Miss Annie MacLachan, the first teacher to serve with Mr Ramage when the School was founded in 1897, the dedicated wives of all our Prep and High School Headmasters, the many lady teachers and support staff in the schools and boarding houses, boys’ moms and the wives and partners of staff and Old Boys.
The garden on the circle in front of the entrance to the Memorial Hall
is dedicated to them – the plaque below the
large oak tree is inscribed “The Ladies’ Garden commemorates the contribution of the ladies of the Rondebosch School Community through the years”.
Below, a special tribute to all women, from all at ‘Bosch on Women’s Day.
