Four Rondebosch matrics feature in the Top 10 of the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge. Placed first in South Africa is Alex White, fourth is Ziyaad Banderker, eighth is Stefanos Panagiotidis & tenth is Ryan Muggleton. These are exceptional achievements as more than 7000 top performing high school pupils from across South Africa participated in the Challenge in which substantial cash and investment prizes were won.

In addition the team comprising Alex, Ziyaad & Stefanos was placed first nationally in the Business Ventures Competition. Alex also won it in 2019 when he was in Grade 10 (it was not held in 2020). This competition entails the submission of video-based business pitches followed by a live presentation to a panel of judges from Allan Gray to secure financial support for their actual businesses.

The Bosch boys’ winning business proposal is, a podcast production platform focused on telling the stories of the South African youth. In South Africa – and elsewhere – we are constantly bombarded with news about the youth and news that is generally negative. Alex, Ziyaad & Stefanos are taking advantage of the podcast boom to showcase what the youth really have to say through informative and engaging shows across a variety of genres. Through this platform they aim to inspire and celebrate the future generations of our country.
