CANA Zone 4 Africa Games Open Water championship:
Benn McWilliam and Nicholas Trower were selected to represent South Africa at the event, and did exceptionally well.
In the u13 age category, Nicholas Trower won gold in the 3km event
In the u16 age category, Benn McWillaim won silver in the 5km event

South African Junior Nationals (SANJ) championship
This is the top age group competition in swimming in the country.

The following boys were selected to compete, in itself an honour:
Wikus Potgieter, Taylor Luck, Jeremy Labuschagne, Benn McWilliam, Tai Pearson, Noah Wollenschlaeger, Connor Kinnear & Nicholas Trower. (Absent:  Tai Pearson and Wikus Potgieter)

The following boys won medals, placing them in the top 3 in their age group in the country:
Taylor Luck (u16 Age group)

Gold in the 50m and 100m backstroke; Bronze in the 200m back.

Tai Pearson (u14 Age Group)
Gold in 50m Butterfly (new SA record), 100m Back, 50m back, 100m Butterfly (new WCA record), 50m Free (new WCA record), 200m IM; Silver in the 200m Free and 200m Back.

Noah Wollenschlaeger (u13 Age group)
Gold 100m Backstroke; Silver in the 50m Backstroke

Nicholas Trower (u13 Age group)
Gold in 400m Freestyle, Silver in 800m Free and 1500m Free; Bronze in 200m Backstroke.

Boys who competed in other competitions and also won medals:
South African Regional Juniors (one level lower than SANJ’s)
Ilyaas Omar  (u15 age group)-  5 silver medals

Level 3 (one level lower than SARJ):
Alexander Benecke (u13 age group) –  6 gold medals
Carter Moolman (u13 Age group) – 2 golds and 1 bronze medal.
