As part of our Life Orientation curriculum, Grade 8\u201310 boys complete 16 hours of meaningful community service, 10 of which take place during school time.<\/div>\n

Rooted in the spirit of Ubuntu, the programme fosters empathy, reflection, and a heart for service.<\/div>\n

Here are some of our 2025 Community Service Highlights:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
1. Gift of the Givers\u2028Day 1: At the Youth In Action Expo, RBHS learners served 2,000+ hot meals.\u2028Day 2: They packed and delivered food parcels to the Athlone School for the Blind.\u2028Participants included: Mohammed Dadaker, Yahya Daware, Zaakir Hoosain, Nur Ismail, Rania Ismail (Wynberg Girls\u2019 High), M. Fareed Sablay, Razeen Dalvie, Danyaal Fakier, Ali Sablay, Hon. Nonceba Mhlauli & Dr Imtiaz Sooliman.<\/div>\n
2. Trawal Outreach\u2028George Nuttall, Bjorn Morkel, Jack Bradshaw and Joe Linder helped build soccer nets for a local school.<\/div>\n
3. Soup Kitchens\u2028Morgan Parisi served at Methodist Church Wynberg; Gaddiel Mayu helped for two weeks at St John\u2019s.<\/div>\n
4. After-School Enrichment\u2028Kian Hall, Cameron Dewar & Joel Arendse supported learners at Ikhaya Le Themba, Hout Bay.<\/div>\n
5. Elderly Care\u2028Jason Moodie & Xavier Basson assisted at Sencit Home. Another group visited Beit-ul-Aman.<\/div>\n
6. Animal Welfare\u2028At AACL: Ryan Gibbon, Henry Whitlock, Cam Edwards & Arag\u00f3n Afonso\u2028At Border Collie Rescue: Oscar Robertson, Ross Webber, Josh Berry, Jo Jennings, Connor Fincham\u2028At Animal Welfare Society: cleaning, disinfecting, and puppy love!<\/div>\n
7. Food Relief\u2028Noa Duxbury, Luke Allen, Junior Ndaba, Max Botha, Hank Huang & Kael Williams packed parcels.<\/div>\n
8. AMA Involvement\u2028Adam Wepener, Adam Badsha, Hamaad Toffie & Zahran volunteered with the African Muslim Agency.<\/div>\n
9. Environmental Action\u2028RBHS boys joined the Newlands Forest \u201cDay in a Ranger\u2019s Boots\u201d initiative.<\/div>\n
10. Emergency Services\u2028Sacha Weltman helped pack parcels at Lakeside Fire Station.<\/div>\n
11. Urban Outreach\u2028Learners joined the CCID\u2019s teams to help clean the inner city.<\/div>\n
12. U-Turn\u2028Harley Schalker organised and delivered a donation.<\/div>\n
