A new pedestrian bridge across the canal was formally opened recently to ensure Prep and High School boys and visitors can safely cross the canal and to improve traffic flow. It was financed by E1978s in celebration of their 40 year reunion.<\/p>\n
The new bridge replicates the design of the original 1940s pedestrian bridge and was constructed by Wally Wood (Rondebosch Estates Projects Manager) and his team. The ribbon was cut by Aleco Caldis, E1978 reunion organiser and co-ordinator of the fundraising efforts.<\/p>\n
