Head of Little Bosch

Erina Muir

Erina is a deeply respected and passionate leader whose dedication to Early Childhood Development spans over two decades. As Head of Little Bosch, she brings a wealth of experience, insight and heart to her role as she guides learners, parents and educators with wisdom and care. Her journey as a Grade R teacher laid the foundation for her profound impact on young lives, shaping confident, curious boys through nurturing and play-based learning.

Erina’s influence reaches beyond the classroom. Her collaboration with the Western Cape Education Department in implementing key Literacy and Numeracy Programmes reflects her commitment to excellence in early education. Known for her thoughtful leadership and unwavering belief in the potential of every child, Erina fosters a culture of growth, belonging and joy at Little Bosch. Her vision and compassion make her an inspiring figure in the school community, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of learners and educators alike.

Carrigan Louw

Carrigan is an exceptional and devoted educator whose passion for nurturing young minds is truly inspiring. With 16 years of experience as a Grade R teacher at Little Bosch, she brings a wealth of knowledge and unwavering commitment to early childhood education. As Grade Head, she leads with grace and excellence, setting a high standard for her team. Her warmth and enthusiasm foster a caring, inclusive classroom where every boy feels seen and valued. Known for her compassion and patience, Carrigan connects deeply with her learners, celebrating their individuality and supporting their growth. Shameemah Hendricks

Shameemah is a passionate and nurturing Grade R teacher who recently joined the Little Bosch family. She brings fresh energy and a deep love for early learning, creating a stimulating and joyful classroom environment where boys thrive. Her caring nature and commitment to holistic development make her a wonderful addition to our team.

Sjaan Douglass

Sjaan officially joined Little Bosch in 2024 as a full-time Grade R teacher, following a successful term in a maternity cover role in 2023. With 16 years of experience teaching young children in both Grade R and Pre-Grade R, she brings a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm. Her bubbly personality ensures that learning is always fun, interactive and engaging. Sjaan’s vibrant approach and deep understanding of early childhood education make her a valued member of our teaching team.

Claire O’Donoghue

Claire became part of the Little Bosch team in 2023 after teaching Grade 2 at Rondebosch Boys’ Prep in 2022. With 16 years of experience teaching Grade R and Grade 1, she brings a seasoned perspective and a gentle, thoughtful approach to the classroom. Having transitioned from teaching girls to boys, Claire has embraced the change with enthusiasm and skill. She is a well-established and respected member of the Little Bosch team.

Teaching Assistants

Our dedicated team of teaching assistants plays an integral role in the daily success of Little Bosch, providing invaluable support to our teachers and ensuring a safe, engaging learning environment for our boys.

Bongi Skempers

With 6 years at Little Bosch, Bongi brings energy and enthusiasm to everything she does. As a proud mother of three, she understands the importance of nurturing young minds. Her vibrant personality and love for soccer make her a firm favourite among our boys, who eagerly join her on the field.

Babalwa Duka

Babalwa has been part of the Little Bosch family for 9 years. Her infectious laughter and wonderful sense of humour create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making learning fun for our boys. She is also a loving mother to an energetic little boy, further enriching her ability to connect with young learners.

Maureen Mapako

With an impressive 18 years at Little Bosch, Maureen is a cornerstone of our team. Her unwavering dedication and cheerful demeanour make her a beloved presence in the classroom. She is happily married and the proud mother of two beautiful daughters.

Eppy Banga

Eppy has been a valued member of Little Bosch for 15 years. With her gentle nature and warm smile, she provides a comforting presence for our boys. She is happily married and treasures time with her two wonderful children.

This team supports the teachers in their preparation, daily layout, and during micro lessons. They also oversee safety in the outdoor play areas. Their role is key to the success of the daily programme.

Admissions

Gabrielle Laporta

At Little Bosch, the admissions process is expertly managed by Gabrielle Laporta, fondly known as Gabie. Since joining the Little Bosch family in 2009, she has brought a wealth of experience to her role, ensuring a seamless application process for prospective families.

With her warm and welcoming presence, Gabie is truly the face of Little Bosch, creating an inviting atmosphere for parents and children alike. Whether guiding families through admissions or greeting visitors with her signature smile, she plays an essential role in making Little Bosch feel like home from the very first interaction.

General Assistants

Our dedicated general assistants play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of Little Bosch, ensuring a welcoming environment for our boys and staff.

Lindiwe Melani

Lindiwe is the go-to person for keeping the downstairs area spotless and well-maintained. Her attention to detail and commitment to creating a neat, inviting space make a noticeable difference every day.

Neliswa Melani

Neliswa oversees the upkeep of the upstairs classrooms and therapy rooms, ensuring that these spaces remain clean and ready for learning and support sessions. Her dedication helps create a comfortable and nurturing environment for our boys.

Together, Lindiwe and Neliswa contribute greatly to the smooth running of Little Bosch, adding to the warmth and care that define our school.

Grounds and Security

Peter Mkhize

Peter Mkhize plays a vital role in keeping Little Bosch safe and well-kept. With dedication and attention to detail, he ensures that our school grounds remain tidy, welcoming, and properly maintained.

Beyond caring for our outdoor spaces, Peter also oversees the security of our entrance areas, helping to create a safe and secure environment for our boys, staff, and families. His commitment is invaluable in ensuring that Little Bosch remains a place where learning and play thrive.
