Welcome

Our mission is to provide a balanced programme aimed at the attainment of excellence, which lays the foundation for lifelong learning and leadership. As an educator with 17 years’ experience, I am passionate about providing a learning environment which ensures that our boys are appropriately equipped to take on the challenges of an ever-changing world.

Our Ethos

Little Bosch Grade R is a nurturing and playful, yet structured learning environment. Our boys experience a variety of activities that awaken curiosity, stimulate creativity and develop problem-solving abilities. Our spacious building and grounds are well-secured and provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our Grade R families.

Laughter, shouts of joy and kindly words abound in the beautifully designed indoor and outdoor areas. This, coupled with a learner centred approach that guides and supports our boys in achieving their full potential, enables them to become true Bosch boys!

Our History

Little Bosch Grade R was established in 2004 by the Headmaster of Rondebosch Boys’ Preparatory School, Tony Ryan, and a team of consultants. With the expert guidance of Meryl Hewitt-Fourie, an ECD specialist, the existing “Kiddywinkles After Care” in Laidlaw Road was converted into a Grade R facility for 75 children. This included accepting girls!

Governance and Management

Little Bosch Grade R falls under the auspices of Rondebosch Boys’ Preparatory School. As such, it adheres to the governance structures as constituted by the elected parents who serve on the Governing Body at RBPS. However, the day to day management is the direct responsibility of the Head of Little Bosch.

 The Parent Association

The Parent Association (PA) is responsible for events and fundraising and assists the school throughout the year. Parents are elected to respective PA portfolios at the first meeting of the year.
