Social Responsibility & Environmental Awareness

We encourage our boys to be more socially aware by providing opportunities for service in the wider community.

• Each grade has an elected charity for whom they fundraise. Events include market days, cake sales and beach clean ups.
• The whole school contributes to the weekly Ysterplaat Feeding Scheme
• Early Act: Our Grade 4- 7 boys who are part of this club learn more about acts of service through different projects like clothing collections for the homeless, making toys for animals in shelters, creating activity booklets for children at Red Cross Hospital and assisting with school outreach projects like Harvest Day and Spring Day.
• Civvies Days: these are held once a term and sees the whole school coming together to make a difference to the elected charity.
• Environmental Awareness: Our first term is geared towards all things environmental with the Bosch Beach Clean-Up and Eco Civvies bringing the importance of safe keeping our natural environment to the fore. The theme continues year round with termly Eco Assemblies.
