Joseph Feast represented the SA U16 side in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur and Singapore) at the end of last year. He (and Dylan Keswell) also competed in the Scottish and British Open Tournaments in the UK during the December school holidays.
The tournament in Kuala Lumpur is the biggest junior squash tournament in the East and the British Open is the biggest junior squash event in the world. Joe played 22 matches in total in these 4 events and won 16 of them, which was a great showing, given that these were his first international competitions. His best final placement was in the Scottish Open where he finished 9th overall – he only lost one match during the tournament, which was to the eventual winner. Joe’s international tournament experience paid off recently in the Technifibre SA Open which was recently held in Bloemfontein. He was seeded 12th but ended up with a top 4 finish in the U19 event. Dylan Keswell (seeded 13th) and Charlton Webb-Smith (seeded 30th) also played in this tournament.
We are super proud of Joe, Dylan and Charlton’s achievements and look forward to seeing them (and the other Bosch squash players 😉 go from strength to strength during the course of the year.
